Central Connecticut State University signed a partnership agreement with the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce on May 15 that will offer a tuition discount and scholarship to the employees of the chamber members who want to pursue their education at Central.
Chamber members will receive a 5 percent tuition discount and a $1,000 scholarship toward full-time studies or $500 scholarship toward part-time studies.
The Connecticut River Valley Chamber primarily serves the towns of East Hartford, Glastonbury, Hebron, and Marlborough but is the state’s third largest chamber with members in more than 45 towns and cities.
The agreement is effective for one year with the opportunity to renew on a yearly basis.
"We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Central Connecticut State University,” says Jessica Olander, president of the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce. “This collaboration is a meaningful investment in workforce development and a valuable benefit for our business community, helping to support continued education and career growth right here in Connecticut.”
