Central officers honor the fallen during National Police Week

In recognition of National Police Week, the Central Police Department carried on its tradition of laying a memorial wreath in front of the police station on East Street. Chief of Police Sean Grant gave brief remarks in tribute to fallen police officers before conducting a moment of silence and the wreath-laying.

During National Police Week, law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. It includes the National Peace Officers Memorial Service and other events throughout the week that honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
