CCSU Police honor fallen officers

Officers from the CCSU Police Department conducted its annual National Police Week wreath laying ceremony on May 11 in honor of police officers who lost their lives in service to their communities. One hundred eleven police officers were killed in the line of duty in 2025.
Each May, National Police Week honors the courage, sacrifice and dedication of law enforcement officers. Originally established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National Police Week includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15 and a week of observances fallen officers and those who continue to serve.
