Biography

William Fothergill, MSW, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and in Social Work. In addition, he is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Grief Recovery Specialist.  Mr. Fothergill’s style embraces a holistic approach to self-work. He uses an integrated approach to care that incorporates concepts and techniques that are a blend of several therapeutic strategies, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, life coaching, motivational therapy, narrative therapy, positive psychology, person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused interventions. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of student populations in educational, juvenile justice, and private practice settings.
