Valerie Wilson

Valerie Wilson joined Central Connecticut State University as the Assistant Director in November 2022.  She is a professional career development practitioner, certified career coach, and certified résumé writer whose career spans over 25 years with experience coaching high school and college students, adult learners, and seasoned professionals in transition. She began her career working in the personnel industry where she helped individuals obtain temporary and permanent employment. Later, she worked for the Hartford Public Schools’ Career Readiness Unit for several years; and most recently in the Career Development Center at the University of Saint Joseph for 15 years. Valerie earned her B.S. in Business Management from Bryant University and her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration from Springfield College. In 2021, she launched Career Coaching by Valerie to help professionals feel more fulfilled by leaping forward in their careers.
