Ruixue (Rachel) Gao

Dr. Ruixue (Rachel) Gao is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Central Connecticut State University. She received her Ph.D. in Finance from Washington State University and holds a master’s degree in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Gao’s primary research interests lie in corporate finance, sustainable investment, innovation, gender and finance, and investor behavior. Her research has been published in academic journals including Applied Economics and Finance Research Letters. Her current research examines topics such as retail investor behavior, female inventors and green technology innovation, environmental technology transfer and carbon emissions, and prediction markets. She has presented her research at academic conferences including the Southwestern Finance Association Annual Meeting.
