Biography

I am Professor and Chair of the Department of Marketing at Central Connecticut State University, where I’ve been proud to serve since 2007. My work focuses on business communication, marketing, and digital media, with a special interest in how humor, improvisation, and storytelling can enhance learning and career readiness.

I’ve co-authored two books (Today’s Business Communication and The Essential Guide to Business Communication for Finance Professionals) and developed several open educational resources to expand access to high-quality learning. My research has been published in journals including the International Journal of Business Communication, Journal of Education for Business, and the Atlantic Marketing Journal.

I am passionate about helping students develop career-ready communication skills, and I enjoy collaborating with colleagues, industry partners, and professional organizations to connect research with practice.
