Biography

Elaine Wilson, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut and has a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her approach to her work with students is person-centered and strengths-based, with the goal of helping students recognize and use their strengths to navigate the challenges they face in their everyday life, whether it be in academics or personal relationships with friends and family. Elaine seeks to build an authentic, supportive relationship with each student that is non-judgmental and accepting, encouraging each student as they determine their personal goals. She utilizes a variety of counseling approaches (acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology) depending on each student's needs and preferences.
