Areas of Expertise

My primary area of expertise is South Indian Classical dance (Bharatanatyam) and music (Karnatak). My research focuses particularly on how the South Indian performing arts operate within the U.S.A. 

My secondary area of expertise focuses on southern Italian rap and reggae, as well as local Italian-American festivals and performance practices in New England.
