Aaliyah Norton

Hello! My name is Aaliyah, and I am the Residence Director of Seth North. I was born and raised in Hartford, CT. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Art and Media from Eastern Connecticut State University, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling in Student Development in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University.

Throughout my career in higher education, I’ve had the opportunity to work in residence life, advising, career services, orientation, and student activities. These experiences have strengthened my passion for student development and for creating welcoming communities and meaningful, memorable experiences for students. I strive to support my students' development and cultivate a welcoming, positive, and engaging community.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, baking, and all types of crafting, which allow me to express my creativity and unwind. I’m always up to try a new recipe, start a new craft project, or add another book to my ever-growing reading list!
