iPad Frequently Asked Questions
The Information Technology Department will provide limited support to iPad users. You may bring your iPad to our Face-to-Face Support area for assistance with connecting to the wireless network or configuring your CCSU e-mail.
How do I connect to the CCSU wireless network on the iPad ?
- On the iPad, tap the Settings icon.
- On the Settings menu, tap Wi-Fi.
- Next to Wi-Fi, tap the "On/Off" selector until it reads "On."
- Under choose a network, select an available wireless network. On campus, we have two: students and voyager.
- At the wireless log in screen, enter your BlueNet account username and password. If the wireless log in screen does not appear automatically, open Safari and it should prompt you to log in.
How do I access my CCSU e-mail on the iPad?

Students
Your My.CCSU e-mail account is managed by Microsoft's Live@edu system. Please log in to www.outlook.com and follow the instructions located under Options to set up your iPhone,iPod Touch, or iPad.
Does CCSU provide any applications for the iPad?
No, we do not provide any applications for the iPad. The iPad is not a laptop, therefore you cannot install our standard applications such as Microsoft Office on it. Application purchases can be made through iTunes on an individual basis. For more information on iTunes, visit http://www.apple.com/itunes/.
How do I keep my iPad secure?
If you are going to use your iPad to connect to the CCSU e-mail server, we highly recommend you use a passcode lock to secure your iPad. To set up a passcode lock:
- On the iPad, tap the Settings icon.
- On the Settings menu, tap General.
- Tap Passcode Lock, then tap "Turn Passcode On."
- Enter a passcode, then re-enter the passcode when prompted.
I'm trying to log in to the wireless network but when I enter my username and password, nothing happens. How can I fix this?
You may need to reset your wireless settings:
- On the iPad, tap the Settings icon.
- On the Settings menu, tap Wi-Fi.
- Net to Wi-Fi, tap the "On/Off" selector until it reads "Off."
- Go back to the Settings screen, then tap General.
- Tap Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings. Your iPad will restart.
- After the iPad restarts, tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Safari, then Autofill and set both Autofill selectors to "Off." Also, tap "Clear All." to remove currently stored Autofill settings.
- Go back to the Settings Screen, tap Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on. Follow the instructions under "How do I connect to the CCSU wireless network on the iPad?" to connect the CCSU wireless network.
