This year’s Central Construction Industry Award recipient is David Barkin, FAIA, chief architect at the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services.

The Industry Award recognizes construction professionals who have offered their time to the Construction Management program at Central for at least five years.

The event also honored two recipients of the Dr. Stuart Bennett Alumni Award. They are: Jacqueline Laramee of Southington, vice president of NDC Commercial Construction, and Jeremy Libby of Ridgefield, real estate operations lead at Google.

The Bennett award recognizes Central alumni who have worked for at least five years in the construction industry with a demonstrated record of service to the construction community.

Dr. Bennett is a professor emeritus of Central’s Manufacturing & Construction Management Department.
