From 2003 through 2007, CCSU collected information about degree program assessment by means of an assessment survey completed by faculty who coordinate assessment in each degree program. Beginning in 2008, this information began to be collected following the Policy on Academic Assessment; these reports will be placed on a password protected website accessible to all instructional faculty and administrators. Reports will be reviewed on a multi-year cycle by the Academic Assessment Committee, which will provide feedback to Departments.
Assessment Reports 2007-08 and Later
On an annual basis, departments provide a report to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment about assessment activities in each degree program (Program Review and Assessment Report Calendar). Reports include:
a list of the learning outcomes for graduates of their program,
the findings from their evaluation of student learning in their academic programs and in general education courses offered by their department,
an analysis of what these results mean, including an identification of students’ strengths and weaknesses, and
a description of how these results have been used to make curricular or programmatic adjustments.
