Student Technology Center Alumni Access Policy
All CCSU alumni will be granted access to the STC for two semesters past graduation (with no fee). Alumni access is not automatic. The alumni requesting STC access must fill out an application form on their first visit after graduation. They may use the STC that day by presenting their ID. A supervisor will process the application form and verify the student's graduation date. The student's name will be added to the database checked at the front desk in the STC. An expiration date will be included in the database. On subsequent visits, the alumni will present their Blue Chip ID card and it will allow them access. When the card is swiped, the staff member at the front desk will see a message appear on their screen indicating the access expiration date.
“Two semesters past graduation” means:
MAY GRADUATES have access starting with the beginning of the summer session extending all the way through the end of the year (until the end of December).
DECEMBER GRADUATES have access starting with the following winter session, through the spring semester, extending all the way through the summer (until the end of August).
AUGUST GRADUATES have access starting the following fall semester, through the following spring session (until the end of May).
Other Alumni access guidelines:
- Alumni are expected to follow all currently established STC rules.
- The CCSU Information Technology Department reserves the right to deny or relinquish computer access to any alumni found disregarding the Policy Statement on Student Use of University Computer Systems and Networks that has been established by the Connecticut State University System.
