Current & Scheduled Outages/System Updates
Extended Hours – System Maintenance – Saturday, June 15th
This weekend, the system maintenance window will begin 3 hours earlier; at 9:00pm on Saturday, June 15th. All systems should be available by noon on Sunday. During this time, all systems, including e-mail, will be intermittently unavailable while important maintenance and updates are performed.
Please Leave Your Windows Computers Turned ON Overnight on Monday, June 17th
The IT Department needs to make sure all computers are restarted on a regular basis to ensure security updates are properly applied. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, a mandatory reboot command will be issued at 3:00 A.M. On Monday, June 17th, please log off your computer but do not power it off. This will allow the patches to be sent down to your computer Monday night and then applied Tuesday morning. If you turn your computer off, shortly after turning it on Tuesday, your computer will restart in order to apply these updates.
Summer Support Hours
Support hours will be shortened during the summer as follows:
Help Desk – Through Friday, August 16
- Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday 8:00pm – 5:00pm
- There will be limited support available after 6:00pm but only for classroom emergencies.
Please note: wireless printing in offices is not currently supported. Click here for purchasing and support information regarding University printers.
Telecommunication Service Request Forms (TSR)
As summer is a busy season for Telecommunications, any telephone moves, adds, changes or disconnects needed for the start of the Fall semester must be received in the IT/Telecom Office by Friday, August 2, 2013. Any TSR’s received after this date cannot be guaranteed to be completed before the semester begins. TSR’s may be found on the Telecom website .
