Military Dress Parade and Commemoration Ceremony

Hundreds of Union and Confederate soldiers will march from their encampents with color guards bearing their regimental flags. They will be joined by a procession from the Connecticut National Guard, as well as Boy Scout Troops, and come together at the flag pole outside of the cabin, on the highest hill of Wickham Park.

This is where they will remember those who fought and died 150 years ago. Under the American flag and the Connecticut State Flag, which recently flew over the Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland, a wreath will be laid and poignant words spoken to remember what was done so many years ago.

All troops will then come together at the top of the hill, with the City of Hartford in the background, for a group photo.
