The Honors Program at CCSU is open to intellectually motivated and academically qualified students, including the following:

• High school graduates who are about to enter the university. (the main focus of our program)
• Students who have completed their first year at the university. (limited spots available)
• Students who transfer to the university with no more that one year's worth of credits. (limited spots available)
• Individuals who are returning to studies from work or home. (limited spots available)

        Students who apply to the program will be asked to present a sample of written work and to meet one-on-one with a member of the Program Admissions Committee. The Committee meets beginning in late November to decide on candidates for admission into the program for the following Fall semester.         Students receive a half scholarship (half in-state tuition and fees) upon entry, with the possibility for upgrade (based on academic performance) after completing one year in the program.
