Holly Richards received her BS in Horticultural Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Connecticut in 1979 and her MA in Modern European History from Central Connecticut State University in 1996. She has been teaching in the History Department since 1998. Her major areas of interest are Modern Europe and The United States. She is passionate about history and nothing makes her happier than to introduce history to her students and make it come alive for them. She has taught at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford. Her courses include History of the American Family, American History to 1877, American History 1877-Present, Europe: Renaissance to Revolution, and World Civilization. Holly is currently doing research involving Andrew Jackson and horse racing.
