Building Industry Experience:

Linda Reeder worked as an architect for eleven years before joining CCSU’s construction management program faculty full-time. Her experience as a project architect ranges from a $54 million mixed-use development in downtown Hartford to a screen porch on Martha’s Vineyard. She continues to practice architecture on both residential and commercial projects.

 

Research Interests and Publications:

Professor Reeder’s research interests include green building design and construction and Building Information Modeling (BIM). She is the author of the book Guide to Green Building Rating Systems: Understanding LEED, Green Globes, ENERGY STAR, the National Green Building Standard, and More (John Wiley & Sons, 2010). She has written over 100 articles on building performance for the American Institute of Architects’ Architects Knowledge Resource website, published in Fine Homebuilding magazine, and currently edits the AIA’s SPP Journal.
