Jewish Campus
Ministry

Hillel's mission is to help nurture and develop Jewish
student life and enhance the Jewish community at Central. Our programming is
non-denominational and supports Reform, Conservative and Orthodox students.
Events include our annual Sukkot celebration, Passover Seder, Shabbat dinners,
social outings and trips to Israel.
Although Hillel does not provide religious services
on-campus, students are able to attend services, free of charge, at any local
synagogue. The closest synagogues to campus are:
Temple Sinai Reform 41 West Hartford Road Newington, CT 06111 | Congregation Tephereth Israel Orthodox 76 Winter St. New Britain, CT 06050
|
Congregation B'nai Sholom Conservative 26 Church Street Newington, CT 06111 | |
Rabbi Henry Okolica is available to students for
religious guidance and counseling. The campus contact and Hillel Jewish Student
Life Coordinator is Beth Brenner. She can be reached at ven_brennerb@ccsu.edu
