Purpose of the MRMC is to:
Identify and recommend qualified minority candidates to search committees
Arrange mentoring opportunities for newly appointed minority personnel
Enhance the professional development of minority employees during the first 6 years of employment or
Enhance the professional development of minority employees during the first three years in a new position or reassignment.
The MRMC meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:00 AM in the Student Center 1849 Room

Minority members of SUOAF who are in their first 6 years of employment or first three years in a new position or reassignment may request funding to pursue an advanced degree, obtain professional certification or other training.
To request funding:
1. Complete the Funding Request Form

2. Attach supporting documentation to the form
3. Submit the application form and documentation to the MRMC secretary at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the program.
* Additional funding resources are available through departments and the SUOAF-AFSCME Professional Development Committee.
