A Plan for Central Connecticut State University
Mindful of the mission of the University and of its distinctive elements, the Strategic Plan presently designates 47 objectives to address seven broadly defined goals:
Promote student learning.
Increase persistence, satisfaction and success rates for students.
Prepare students for productive lives as professionals and citizens and support economic development.
Enhance and sustain faculty and staff satisfaction and success.
Promote global awareness and respect for diversity.
Gain financial support necessary for a highly regarded public university.
Initiate and sustain environmentally sound capital projects.
- Enhance and maintain effective operations in information services and infrastructure in support of teaching and student learning.
To situate the Strategic Plan within a context and to monitor progress in meeting the goals, the plan identifies the following elements:
New objectives and those derived from previous strategic plans,
Executive Committee member(s) responsible for progress,
Instrument(s) for gauging progress on each goal,
Baseline or starting point for assessment,
Goal to be attained,
Enabling activities for accomplishing objectives.
