Request a Blackboard Learn Course Shell

In order to use Blackboard Learn for your courses each semester, you must request a Blackboard Learn course shell for each course. 

To request a course shell:

1. Access Web Central/Banner Web

2. Log in with your BlueNet Account username and password.

3. Click on the Faculty tab.

4. Click on the Blackboard Learn Course Shell Creation link at the bottom of the Faculty Services list.  If prompted, select the appropriate Term, then click on the Submit button.

5. You will see a list of the sections you are teaching for the term.  Select Create Blackboard Learn Course Shell from the drop down menu next to EACH of the sections.  Once you have selected all of the sections needed, click on the Submit button.  The textbox next to the section will change to Learn Course Shell Exists. 

6. The process to create Blackboard Learn course shells runs automatically at 6:50am, 12:50pm, 5:50pm and 11:50pm. This process can take up to two hours.  Please check after the appropriate time for the existence of your shells.
