Freshman Year Experience

The Freshman Year Experience component provides participating students with an array of student supportive services that enhance the likelihood that the students will succeed in their coursework and persist in their college enrollment through graduation. The staff facilitates the students becoming familiar with the university’s academic and support services ensure and monitor their utilization of these services. Research has demonstrated that the more integrative and comprehensive a first year program is, the greater its effectiveness in promoting student retention and graduation.
