Placement Testing

 

Placement exams for Math, Spanish, French and German are proctored by The Learning Center; the time & location for exam sessions will vary.

NOTE: If you are not able to make it to the above test dates and times or if you are visiting from out of town, please call The Learning Center at 860.832.1900 to make special arrangements.


Seats are limited so please remember to call and schedule your appointment.  To sign up for a placement test, contact The Learning Center at 860.832.1900.  
NOTE: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will not be seated and you will have to reschedule.


Placement exams are computer based.  Scrap paper is provided to exam takers.

  

Remember to bring the following items to your placement exam session:

  • A Photo ID (i.e. driver's license or school ID); this is necessary for identification purposes.
  • Your 8-digit CCSU ID Number (this can be found on your Blue Chip card).  This is your your scores are recorded and reported.
  • A Calculator (up to a TI-86).  This is optional as a calculator is not necessary to complete the exam.
  • A writing utensil.


    Studies show that if your prepare for the placement exam, you will perform better!
