UNDERGRADUATE ADVISING

PROGRAM ADMISSION

All undergraduate programs in the School of Education and Professional Studies (SEPS) require special admission. Admission criteria, standards, and procedures vary by program and are generally guided by accrediting agencies and organizations. Typically undergraduate students interested in a SEPS program declare their major and program as soon as possible and are considered pre-majors or pre-degree students. Students begin taking program prerequisites as early as their first semester at CCSU. Once a student has met basic program prerequisites, he or she is ready to formally apply to a SEPS program. Admission to any SEPS program is not guaranteed. Specific program criteria, standards and procedures are listed below.
