Can those hypothetical worlds, designed for national strategic planning at a global level give us insights we can use at global, national, regional, and local scales?

Panel Discussion: Electric Cars & Alternative Vehicles |
Alumni Hall, Student Center |
| |
Panel Members: Dave Oliveria, President, New England Electric Auto Association Eric Evarts, Senior Associate Autos Editor for Consumer Reports Joe Booth, Natural Gas Car Owner
Hybrid, extended hybrid and electric vehicles are now three percent of new car sales, and nearly every automaker is offering a green car today. Battery electrics still have limited range and higher pricetags, but their adoption could double in 2013 and the industry continues to see improvements. Meanwhile, cars powered by natural gas, biodiesel and hydrogen are contenders for picking up market share. The biggest obstacle for alternative fuel vehicles is infrastructure--not enough fueling stations nationwide. Come join us in a panel discussion on these alternative vehicles from the viewpoints of users and reviewers.
