The Lounge

The Women's Center Lounge is located on the second floor of the Student Center away from the usual traffic and noise of the building. Down the long hallway past the SGA offices, students can find a comfortable space to do homework, watch TV, use the computers, or read any of our women's magazines or literature. Students who regularly visit the lounge also tend to have more in common, so it's a great place to meet new friends or get involved in the Center.

The Library

The Ruthe Boyea Women's Center has an extensive library of books and videos available for to all members of the Central community. A unique collection of books, magazines, journals, videotapes, newsletter, and files are available for research and for recreation. This includes literature on the arts, history, health, sexual assault, careers, ethnic women, and more. These materials are available for check-out, and we have a video set-up where people may come in and view the videos in our lounge. If there are any questions, to inquire about a specific resource, or if there is a book or video that you think would be a good addition to our library, please call the Center at (860) 832-1655.
