BACCHUS Conference November 5-7, 2009

Four CCSU Natural Helpers (peer educators) and two advisors attended the BACCHUS General Assembly in Orlando Florida.  While attending the conference each participant attended sessions on alcohol, drug, & tobacco prevention - as well as on topics concerning late night programming, stress, and coping strategies.  The Natural Helpers were also chosen to present a program on New Britain and CCSU's Town & Gown Task Force.  This great honor and opportunity was very successful and received very positive feedback.  Over 400 posters, brochures, and resources on our efforts were handed out to over 200 other universities across the country.  The Natural Helpers also accepted an award for the "Alcohol Awareness Fair" held in April 2009, for their collaboration with Police, Fire, Campus, and Community.
Please see "Accomplishments" for more information on the award.
