IT Weekly Announcement - January 30, 2013

Current & Scheduled Outages/System Updates  

 

Sunday Maintenance Time change!

Every Sunday, between 12:00am – 12:00pm, all systems will be intermittently unavailable while important maintenance and updates are performed.

 

ImageNow/WebNow Outage, February 14th  – 15th   

The ImageNow/WebNow system will be unavailable starting Thursday, February 14th at 8:00am until Friday, February 15th at 5:00pm for a version upgrade from 6.6x to 6.7x. Please plan accordingly for this downtime.

 

Network Maintenance Sunday, February 17th

Information Technology  will be performing network upgrades that will cause periodic interruptions in service to the Student Center, Welte Hall, East Hall, Memorial Hall, and Carroll Hall.   This will be taking place over the holiday weekend and work will be performed between the hours of 12:00am and 8:00am.  The entire building will not be off line, rather, there could be individual floors off line for 30 minutes at a time.  It may be necessary to reboot/restart your computer in order to reconnect to the campus network.

Identity Finder Training Videos

Information Technology provided 7 informational TechTalk sessions on Identity Finder however if you weren’t able to attend, you can now watch the last session online!  Click HERE for the direct link to the video.

 

Chat Support Available for Classrooms

Need technical support in a classroom, but don’t have a phone available? Now you can initiate a technical support request via chat/instant message using the IT Help Desk Support icon on the desktop of the Instructor Workstation. Simply double-click the icon and a technical support analyst will assist you.

 

New Computers in the Student Technology Center (STC) - 

Over intersession the computers in the Student Technology Center (formerly known as the Marcus White Computer Lab) were refreshed.  In the STC, we have tripled the amount of Apple computers.  Please share this information with your students
