Town & Gown

Central Connecticut State University has a vested interest in managing the use of alcohol both on campus and off campus in the surrounding neighborhood. In September 2007 President Miller and Mayor of New Britain Timothy Stewart established a formal community task force known as the Town Gown Coalition. The task force works to reduce the incidence of issues associated with underage drinking, problem house parties, and drinking and driving in the local Belvedere area that surrounds the University.

Student Conduct

CCSU is committed to being a good neighbor, and expects its students to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct on and off campus.

The University, New Britain Police, and the New Britain Neighborhood Association work closely together to mitigate problems in the neighborhood. This living guide was created to provide information to students about expectations when living in a neighborhood. All neighbor and police reports regarding student actions are reported to the Citizenship and Community Standards Office within Campus Life.
