William J. Mann, LGBT Center Faculty Director
The administrator for the LGBT Center is William J. Mann and his pronouns are he/him/his. William Mann is an author, journalist and longtime community activist, as well as a Central alum. Since 2015, Professor Mann has taught LGBT History, History of AIDS, and American Popular Culture at CCSU.

Nichol McCarter, University Assistant
Nichol C. McCarter is a graduate student at UMass Amherst in the English program. Her studies focus on a critical analysis of how rhetoric and literature affect the human consciousness through the lens of environmental issues, queer studies, animal studies, disability studies, and their intersections with one another. Outside of her work at UMass, she works as the University Assistant for Central Connecticut State University's LGBT Center and has been working with their office for 5 years. She deeply believes in the philosophy that “there can be no peace without justice for every living being” and she challenges herself to apply that to all aspects of her work and life.
