Lavender Graduation celebrates the academic achievements and contributions of CCSU's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual and ally (LGBTQI/A) undergraduate and graduate degree candidates. In this annual ceremony we acknowledge the unique challenges, experiences, and accomplishments that these students face during their pursuit of higher education.

We encourage graduates to bring their families and friends to this supplemental ceremony as part of their graduation experience. Graduates will receive their rainbow tassels and cords and their Lavender Graduation certificate.

The entire campus community and our Alumni are invited to take part in this celebration. Pre-registration is required to be recognized in the 2020 Lavender Class. To be added as a Lavender Graduate please register here: "Graduate Registration"

Registration for guests, not associated with a particular Lavender graduate, is appreciated and is also available under "Guest Registration".

For questions or more information about the Annual Lavender Graduation event please contact the LGBT center administrator at or call us at (860) 832-2091.

This event comes to CCSU in part as the result of a capstone project completed by Marcia Butland and Peter Testori, May 2010 graduates of the Master of Science, Counseling/Student Development in Higher Education.
