Scholarships for History Undergraduate Students

Students should review the full list of CCSU Foundation Scholarships 

Merrill & Gertrude Bridge Scholarship (2475) [History]

Provides support for an undergraduate student majoring in History with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Paul Vouras Scholarship (2880) [Social Sciences, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History]

Provides a prize for the graduating senior with the highest cumulative grade point average of a student majoring in social science, geography, sociology, political science, economics or history. 

Miano Memorial Scholarship (2660) [Science, Mathematics, & Humanities]

Provides support for a junior level student chosen alternately from science or mathematics majors and arts or humanities majors; minimum grade point average of 3.0.

Hughson Mooney Scholarship (2695) [History

Provides support for matriculated full-time junior level student majoring in History with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better who demonstrates lack of sufficient means to meet the cost of higher education and documented efforts to finance higher education costs through full and part-time employment.

 

Undergraduate History majors with strong interests in certain minor fields may be eligible for the following: 

Grzyb Memorial Scholarship (2370) [Polish Studies]

Provides scholarship support for a student of American birth who excel in Polish Studies at Central Connecticut State University.

June Baker Higgins Scholarship (2415) [Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies]

Provides scholarship support for matriculated junior undergraduate students with a major or minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, who exhibit academic excellence and outstanding potential. 

Stanislaus A. Blejwas Memorial Scholarship (2009) [Polish Studies]

Provides support to a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates an interest in Polish issues. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in an interdisciplinary academic minor in Polish Studies or to a CCSU student who studies abroad in Poland.
