Dr. Russo received his B.A. in History with a concentration in Islamic History from Rhode Island College (1972). He subsequently received his M.A. in History from the University of New Hampshire (1978) with concentrations in Medieval History and Medieval Studies. He completed his Ph.D in History from the University of Connecticut (1995), with concentrations in Medieval History, Medieval Studies, and Ancient History. He has taught at the University Of Connecticut, Greater Hartford Branch and the University of St. Joseph (CT).
