General / Regional Geography Overview
While most people think of geography as naming places on Jeopardy!, a degree in Geography prepares you for much more. The fields of urban planning, environmental, sustainability, social science teaching, and Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) applications all come under the purview of a professional geographer. A specialization of General / Regional Geography includes an assortment of courses from each field of Geography, providing a broad base of education for future endeavors.
The Geography Department offers the option to specialize in General / Regional Geography for an undergraduate degree or minor.
