Environmental Geography & Sustainability Overview
Students may choose to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with an emphasis in Environmental Geography & Sustainability. This academic track is ideal for students interested in understanding human interactions with the environment and physical systems of the Earth. Environmental Geography & Sustainability courses provide students with a deeper understanding of the interplay between the social and natural sciences. Students studying Environmental Geography & Sustainability are interested in careers in fields such as resource management, environmental & sustainable planning, outdoor/environmental education, environmental assessment/monitoring/restoration, and air/water/soil pollution prevention.
The Geography Department offers the option to specialize in Environmental Geography & Sustainability for an undergraduate degree or minor.
