Stock Trading Competition

The Department of Finance believe that CCSU students should be well-equipped to make financial decisions and possess adequate financial literacy and knowledge to manage their investments and retirement plans after graduation. The Department of Finance utilizes its branded Stock-trak financial securities trading system in many of the Finance classes we teach.

To provide CCSU students with hands-on experience and skills used in the Stock market, the Department of Finance launched "The School of Business Stock Trading Competition" during Spring 2011.

The School of Business Stock Trading Competition give CCSU students the chance to invest a hypothetical $1,000,000 in an on-line portfolio. With this comprehensive stock market game, CCSU students learned hands-on trading of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds and economic and financial concepts that they'll use for the rest of their lives. The top three performing participants offered a Tuition scholarship prizes.

Prof. Hamid Sakaki is the coordinator for the School of Business Stock Trading Competition if you have any question regarding the competition.
