Welcome to the website of the MA Program in English. You should find useful information here regarding our literature track and our emergent teaching track, as well as details about the application process, upcoming events, and curricular requirements. We are very proud of our graduate program, especially as it evolves to meet the needs of our changing discipline. We recently launched a new online hybrid-teaching track geared toward existing teachers of grades 7-12. Our first cohort is completing the program at the end of summer 2020. We also continue to excel in delivering courses for the traditional literature M.A., which is directed more toward research in English and has served well our students who go on for the Ph.D. in literature. Recent graduates of our terminal MA have been accepted to doctoral programs at University of Rhode Island and University of Tennessee.
Whether you are a teacher or researcher, or a combination of the two, we believe you will thrive as a part of the CCSU English M.A. program. Our faculty are vibrant researchers, our English Graduate Student Association is active and supportive, and our staff are always willing to help. In the upcoming academic year, we will launch our new teaching track, provide regular opportunities for networking and professional development, and update our perpetually evolving literature curriculum. One thing remains a constant however: the commitment of our internationally known faculty researchers who nevertheless make teaching their priority.
I look forward to hearing from you.
