This interdisciplinary minor is offered in conjunction with the Department of Communications
and gives students a broad-based and critical understanding of the moving image and
involves courses in the analysis and production of visual media.
Creative Writing
If you are interested in poetry and fiction, you may be interested in the Creative
Writing Minor.
The Creative Writing Minor requires courses in poetry, fiction and narrative nonfiction,
but also offers many electives, including playwriting and publishing.
Descriptive Linguistics
The minor in Descriptive Linguistics provides students with a foundation in the core cognitive and social theories of human language. The minor is ideal for majors in Psychological Science, Computer Science, Communication, Education, English, World Languages, Anthropology, and the Social Sciences.
