On-Campus Recruiting

Central Connecticut State University’s Career Development Office is the Career Support Office for helping students and alumni find employment opportunities. We offer a variety of opportunities for you – our potential employer partners – to meet students and find ideal candidates. We encourage you to post for jobs, internships, and co-operative work experiences on Handshake, our online platform connecting employers to students and alumni.

Handshake

We invite you to sign up for Handshake and to create an employer profile. This enables you, as a trusted employer, to post internships, jobs, and to register for all our career fairs – and we hold both general and specialized sectors career fairs.

To better help employers fill vacancies, we also send out tailored email blasts in a high-volume to reach specialized majors and alumni.

You may schedule time with us by phone, virtually, or in-person. Reach out to us here:

On-Campus Recruiting

Employers offering experiential learning opportunities of any type can arrange to meet with our students and recent alumni on our campus during the fall and spring semesters. Listed below are the options available for On-Campus Recruiting.

Fall and Spring Career Fairs

Career Fairs are a great opportunity for employers to meet with a large number of potential applicants and to give our students and recent alumni more information about your company and available positions. Students and alumni get to interact with representatives to discuss hiring needs while learning what potential companies may have to offer.

Tabling in the Atrium

Employer Tabling in the Atrium offers you and your company or organization a chance to spend time at Central to introduce yourselves, your businesses, and your services or products to the current students on campus. Reserve a space in this gathering place where all segments of the campus community – students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests – meet.

We provide tables and chairs to you in a high traffic area which offers a convenient presentation spot. The event is specifically scheduled for your convenience and allows for student interaction as they walk by to and from class. You can recruit for part-time and summer jobs as well as paid/unpaid internships and full-time post graduate jobs.

Employer Tabling in the Atrium is offered each Wednesday during each semester in DiLoreto Hall, 1st Floor from 10 am – 1 pm.

On-Campus Interviews

An efficient and effective opportunity for employers to begin recruiting candidates is through conducting on-campus interviews. Employers may reserve private space for meeting with selected students who fit the designated criteria for positions in their company.

For more information, or to discuss an on-campus interview schedule visit, contact us at careers@ccsu.edu, or call 860.832.1615.
