Certificate in Spanish for Health Professionals

Certificado en español para profesionales de la salud

Central Connecticut State University’s Spanish Certificate for Health Professionals is a 15-credit program that begins during the summer session. Central Nursing and Social Work students, as well as those interested in careers in healthcare will develop improved comprehension and fluency in Spanish. The goal is to improve the healthcare experience and outcomes for Spanish speakers.

Students who enroll in the first cohort - up to 30 students - and complete the certificate during Spring 2025 will have the opportunity to take a spring break trip to Puerto Rico, where they will participate in immersive cultural and healthcare experiences, at a cost of no more than $500.
