1. Visit the program coordinator to get oriented in the program. (Right now that would be Heather Prescott in History.)
2. Take the two required courses when it is appropriate and fits into your schedule: WGSS 200, Introduction to Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and WGSS 400 Feminist Theory.
3. Take an additional 12 credits in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from the list of WGSS courses.** You must take at least one course from three of the four perspectives: Theoretical, Historical, Cultural and Social. Of these twelve credits, six must be taken at the 300 or 400 level. Be aware that up to 3 credits of independent study can be arranged.
**Note! This third requirement is being revised, so that students will be able to take 12 credits in any field, instead of adhering to the four perspectives.
**Note! Two new courses have been added to the WGSS program: WGSS 430 (Internship in WGSS) and WGSS 469 (Readings in WGSS). Contact the coordinator for more information.
