School of Business
Whether you want to become the CEO of a Fortune 500 corporation or an entrepreneur launching successful start-up after successful start-up, the School of Business will prepare you for the rapidly changing world of business. Our professors excel at using real-world examples to bring even the most complex business theories to life. You’ll tackle actual business problems through case studies, role-playing, workshops, student-faculty research projects, and off-campus business internships.
Central students “are extremely bright, and my speaking with them is motivational for them. They are our future.”
John Lundgren, president and CEO, Stanley Black & Decker
CCSU recently became only the second public university in Connecticut to receive accreditation by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Located in the Robert A. Vance Academic Center, the School features the Financial Technology Center and other high-end finance and business technologies. Successful business leaders come to campus and speak as guest lecturers, offering you their perspectives on how to succeed. And thanks to a special relationship with Travelers insurance, students get special one-on-one career advice.
CCSU’s broad-based business program, combined with our General Education component, ensures that your business studies build on a solid foundation. Business courses will teach you about the working world; “Gen Ed” courses will teach you about life.
