Dear Transfer Student:
We are looking forward to your arrival at Central
for the fall semester. Most likely you were on campus this summer for
academic advising. However, many transfer students are seeking more
information and opportunities to learn about the University and its
staff. Many transfer students in the past have asked to participate in
our August orientation program, which will be held on SUnday, August
29th, 2004. This program is a one-day event that
features a campus picnic, guest speakers, as well as numerous
informational sessions about the University. Most of the students in
attendance will be first year students (freshmen), but transfer students
will benefit from this opportunity as well.
If you are interested in
taking part in this program, I ask you to complete the attached form and
return it in the postage-paid envelope provided by August 22nd.
Please enclose a check made in the amount of $75 payable to CCSU. If
you choose to participate in the orientation program and pay the $75,
you will be able to move into your residence hall room (if you have
received a housing assignment for Fall 2004) on Satday, August 28th
between the hours of 2 PM and 6 PM. Move-in for transfer students who
do not wish to participate in orientation will be Sunday, August 29th
between the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM. Upon receiving your payment you
will be sent a confirmation letter.
I look forward to
meeting you in the fall. Please call our office if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Duane
