Central Connecticut State University

Engagement
(This plan was approved in 2004. In spring 2008, a new strategic plan, based in part on the plan of 2004, was approved by the Faculty Senate. The strategic plan of 2008, now in force and replacing the 2004 plan, will soon be available online.)

Designed for Today with a Foundation for Tomorrow

We seek engagement with the rich diversity that represents the region. Central Connecticut State University’s home area is a microcosm of New England.  From the capital city to the smallest country town, what it means to live well in central Connecticut is what it means to live in New England.  Within a 30-minute driving radius of the CCSU campus, nearly every kind of corporate, health, human service, governmental, social commercial, local, state, national, international, or global enterprise can be found.  The region is among the most diverse in cultural heritages and beliefs and contains one of the richest clusters of arts and humanities along with leading edge technologies. Inspired by this heritage and challenged to preserve and develop the best for life yet to come, we set our standards high for engaging the citizens, businesses, and agencies in the region by offering high quality programs to all.
