Newly admitted transfer students majoring in a School of Education and Professional Studies (SEPS) program are advised in small group sessions throughout the year. During these group sessions, students learn about university requirements, policies and procedures, the curricular requirements of their majors, and the requirements for being accepted to their programs. Students are individually advised for course selection and receive all the necessary materials to register themselves online including their alternate PIN number. We highly encourage new students to make an appointment ASAP after acceptance to the University. The earlier a student is advised, the earlier the student can register for courses. Students who delay often have difficulty registering for required courses. Advising for Fall admission generally begins in early April. Advising for Spring admission generally begins in October.
