official planned programs on file will begin on Monday, October 27.
Instructions
for registering on the web may be found by reading the

Please take
note of four significant items regarding your registration for the upcoming semester.
-
Register through
CentralPipeline. Click here
http://luminis.ccsu.edu/cp/home/loginf. You may need to choose
another password if your old password has expired. If this is the case,
https://accounts.ccsu.edu/wacctmgt/ .
-
CCSU’s CentralPipeline
offers you a single-password, anytime, anywhere, access to campus resources.
In addition to providing a centralized point of access to key campus
resources, CentralPipeline provides one-stop access to important campus
information and enhances the way we communicate with each other. The
CentralPipeline is available for registration on November 10.

Information on Tuition
and Billing: CCSU has converted to an all e-billing and e-payment
system. A paper bill will not be mailed to your home. You will be
accountable for timely response to University e-correspondence; therefore, it
is every student's responsibility to keep his/her CCSU email preferences
up-to-date via our accounts management program in CentralPipeline. For
e-billing information, click here
http://www.bursar.ccsu.ed/Ebill_info.htm .
Note: Students failing to pay their fees when due, may be assessed a $50 late
fee and may also be administratively withdrawn and have their schedule of
courses dropped. A non-refundable Re-registration Fee of $100 will be
charged to those registering again for the same term.
-
All students will need to
verify their permanent address, submit a name and address of someone as your
emergency contact, and supply a local address (if you have one) before
proceeding to registration.
You can obtain your personal academic information

The process
for the Spring 2009 semester is as follows:
Graduate
students who have filed an official planned program of study with their advisor
that was then submitted to the School of Graduate Studies are not required to
see their advisor provided the official planned program was filed and approved
before October 1, 2008. Furthermore, they do not need an Alternate PIN
number.
However, you have until November 7 to
file and submit a planned program of study to the Graduate School Office so that
an alternate pin will not be necessary for registration.
After November 7, 2008, the following
steps will be necessary for registration.
-
You must see your advisor
during the academic advisement period from Monday, October 27 through Friday,
November 7.
Please
make sure you make your course selections for the Spring as well as complete and
submit an official planned program of study during your meeting.
(Graduate policy states that the Planned Program must be submitted no later
than having earned 16 credits but the sooner this is filed the better
protection graduate students have for any changes made to the program.)
-
It will be necessary to
obtain an Alternate PIN number from your advisor before you will be
allowed to register. Please note that the Alternate PINs will only be
available from your department advisors. New Alternate PINs are
assigned each semester. Those provided for last Fall 2008 registration will
not work for this Spring 2008 semester. (Note also, that the registrar will
not turn off the Alternate PIN number requirement. Thus, students with
no Planned Programs who wait to register late or after the Spring semester may
encounter delays if faculty advisors are not available to assist them.)
Prior to meeting with your academic advisor it may
be helpful to complete the following tasks:
-
Bring an unofficial planned program sheet with you. If you
do not have one, please get one from your department or from the Graduate
Office, Barnard 102.
-
Print a copy of your unofficial transcript from CentralPipeline
at
http://luminis.ccsu.edu/cp/home/loginf.
-
Update your academic progress in the appropriate spaces on your
unofficial planned program sheet.
-
Form initial decisions about the courses you would like to take
for the Spring 2009 semester.
Please note:
Students who have health or financial holds on their record will not be
permitted to register until these have been cleared.
Instructions for registering on the web may be
found by reading the
Registration Guide (PDF Format).
Web registration instructions
will also be available across the campus along with the course bulletins which
will be available the week before academic advising.
You may register online from your own computer
(http://luminis.ccsu.edu/cp/home/loginf) or if you require help, an assistant from the Registrar’s Office will be
available at the Enrollment Center/Registrar’s Office in Willard Hall, first
floor (Monday through Thursday
8:00 a.m. – 6:00 PM
and Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 PM).
Remember, graduate students may register
starting Monday, November 10 at 8:30 AM. I
encourage you to register for classes as soon as you know your sequence of
courses. Graduate students have a history of waiting until the last moment to
register for classes. Unfortunately, this sometimes results in a student not
being able to get into their desired classes because they are either full to
capacity or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. It is important to note
that when you register for classes early, there is no immediate payment of
course fees required. It is only when students delay their
registration to just at the start of classes that immediate payment is
required.
Also, if you have been admitted conditionally,
your department has indicated on your acceptance letter what you need to do in
order to be fully admitted. If the Department has noted specific courses you
should take, then these should be the first set of courses in which to enroll.
(Once you have done so, you should notify your advisor and I will then send you a
letter of full admission to the program. In order to proceed as a graduate
student in good standing, full admission is required.) Please note:
Depending on departmental pre-requisites, you may or may not be able to register
online as a conditionally admitted student.
Once your registration time
arrives, you may continue to register at any point beyond the start time.
Sincerely,
Paulette Lemma
