Protecting Human Research Participants  

  
It is CCSU policy that all research involving human participants is to be approved by the University’s Human Studies Institutional Review Board (IRB), referred to at CCSU as the Human Studies Council (HSC).  

All such research conducted  by CCSU faculty, staff or students, as well as research conducted by external investigators at CCSU, must be reviewed and approved by the board.

The Human Studies IRB is administered by the Grants & Funded Research Office.  Dr. Bradley Waite, PhD, Professor of Psychology is HSC Chair.  Kim DeMichele, GFR Assistant Director is HSC Administrator.
