Project Description
This project provides for construction of an estimated 4,800 square foot grounds building and an estimated 2,032 square foot salt shed which will be constructed on University property on Coccomo Circle in New Britain. The proposed maintenance support building will provide for a garage that will accommodate service vehicles, equipment, sweepers, skid loaders, and dump trucks. The structure also will include a small office, mechanical room, restrooms, and storage area. The salt shed facility will be designed to provide a location for the storage and mixing of salt and liquid solutions used on campus.
The project also includes a new recycling center/station designed to accommodate the efficient usage of a large dumpster system for the stocking, piling and removal of refuse and recyclables used on campus.
